Asclepias sullivantii (Sullivant's milkweed)

Soft broad light green leaves creates incredible texture contrast among finely leaved grasses and sedges. The flower is visited by long tongued bees and the foliage is used by monarch caterpillars.

Plants that grow well with Sullivant's milkweed: Tradescantia ohiensis (Ohio spiderwort), Penstemon digitalis (foxglove beardtongue), Sporobolus heterolepis (prairie dropseed)
