FAQs
Consultation with Garden Action Plan
When can I book a consultation?
Consultations are available year-round, but we recommend booking during the growing season so we can see what’s already thriving in your space.
Planning for a spring planting? Try to book your Consultation by Mother’s Day.
Planting in fall? You can book your Consultation anytime up through September.
Not sure when to plant? No problem—our team can help prioritize your space and outline a seasonal plan in your Action Plan.
It’s already past Mother’s Day. Is it too late to book and plant?
Maybe, maybe not! If your space is mostly prepped and you book in late May, we may still be able to fit you into a June planting window.
Missed the spring season? Fall is a great time to plant, too. We can book your date months in advance to hold your spot and give you a helpful deadline to work toward as you prep.
Do I have to do my whole yard at once?
Not at all! Your Action Plan is a flexible road map—you can chip away at it over time, depending on your budget, energy, and goals. We’re happy to support a phased approach.
Planting Service
When do you offer Planting Services?
Our planting seasons are spring (April–June) and fall (September–October). Once your consultation is complete and your site is prepped, we’ll schedule your planting in the next available window.
How do you measure your Planting Service?
Our planting service is priced at $8 per square foot of prepped garden space. We provide an estimate of your space during the Consultation, but you can also measure it yourself using a tape measure to get an approximate square footage. On your planting day, our team will verify the square footage to ensure the measurement is accurate and fair.
Does my space need to be prepped before planting?
Yes—we ask that your space be cleared of unwanted plants and raked smooth before planting day. A few stray weeds are fine, but if significant prep is still needed, we’ll bill that time under Garden Stewardship.
Do you provide mulch?
We don’t supply or apply mulch as part of our Planting Service, but we’ll happily guide you on whether you need it, what kind to get, and how much.
