A beautiful shrub —Aronia flowers in the spring, produces dark drupes of fruit that the birds will love, has beautiful form and dark shiny leaves that turn all shades of orange in the fall. A great shrub for migrating birds, this shrub grows a number of caterpillars that will help them fuel up and provide food for their young.

Plants that grow well with Aronia: Sporobolus heterolepis (prairie dropseed), Echinacea purpurea (purple coneflower), Zizia aurea (golden alexanders)
