BUTTON BLAZING STAR (Liatris aspera)

Of all the Liatris, this species grows best in dry soils. It is still a pollinator magnet with its late season purple flowers on a tall structural stem. Use is as a vertical accent plant among shorter species or mix it into a taller matrix prairie planting.
