Our nursery has closed for the year —Thank you all for a wonderful season!
Marked by patches of full sun mixed with tall canopy shade. Chicago tree-lined parkways are good examples of savanna-like conditions. These plants can stand up to most soil types along with winter street salt, and offer food for bees, butterflies and migrating birds.
Optimize foraging for our pollinator friends and plant in groups of three to five if your garden space allows. Diversity of species is also important to provide food, nesting and resting spots for many insects and birds.
Full to part-sun | medium to dry soil conditions
Those marked with * can handle intermittent wet soil (think rain garden slope)
